Bundle up the whole family and enjoy some amazing sites at The Jack Frost Winter Festival! We'll be located just inside the main gates.

We're going to have 3 telescopes set up for visitors to look through:

We'll be focusing on 3 main targets:

The Planet Venus is the very bright 'star' that you see in the Southwestern Sky as the sun is going down. Venus has phases like the Moon, so we'll be looking for the 'slice' of this very bright planet.

The Seven Sisters, are a beautiful and famous grouping of 7 bright stars. This is the brightest and easiest to find open star cluster, and should look nice, even in the bright lights of downtown. It is also known as M45 and The Pleiades Star Cluster. This object is located in the constellation Taurus, the bull.

The Orion Nebula is an amazing sight. It is located just underneath the belt stars of Orion is the southern sky throughout winter and early spring. The Orion Nebulae is a stellar nursery, where new stars are being formed. Also known as M42, We will be using the 12" Reflector with a Narrow Bandpass filter to help counteract the bright lights of Downtown Charlottetown and provide us with a nice view.
